Catalog Items Push To Zoho Books

Summary
Currently, adding items from Portal to Zoho requires manually copying and pasting product information, which is time-consuming and repetitive. A feature that allows users to push catalog items directly from Portal into Zoho Items with a single action would streamline this process. This would reduce manual work and improve accuracy. As a result, Portal could become the primary source of truth for product data while integrating more tightly into the overall sales workflow.
Problem
When creating or managing items in Zoho, users often need to copy product details from the Portal catalog and manually recreate them in Zoho. This process involves copying names, descriptions, SKUs, and pricing fields, which takes unnecessary time and introduces the possibility of mistakes. For teams that frequently add or update items, this repetitive task becomes a consistent operational friction point.
Solution
Add a one-button action within the Portal catalog such as “Push to > Zoho Items.” When clicked, the selected item would automatically be created or updated in Zoho Items using the same fields already mapped when a proposal is pushed to Zoho. This would mirror the existing integration behavior used when proposals generate items automatically, but allow users to push catalog items directly whenever needed.
Outcome
Portal would become the central place where items are managed and maintained, while Zoho stays synchronized without manual data entry. This would save time, reduce errors, and make Portal more integrated into the full sales and quoting process. Over time, it would strengthen Portal’s role as the primary catalog system within the workflow.
