Often after a proposal is sent the client will look at it multiple times before responding (or sometimes not responding at all). At this point I will often call them to follow-up. It would be nice to make a note of this follow-up attempt in the proposal history section for quick review. 1 or 2 sentences should be plenty. Just "called on x date, left VM" or "called on x date, client says "will get back to you".

You get the idea. Just something in proposal history to note the contact attempt after it is submitted.
