If the proposal has already been accepted and pushed to QB online then it's set to draft, it resets the QB online sync. Would be nice if there were a warning message letting you know you'll be duplicating the push.

Right. I think the better approach here is to pop a message anytime you try and push a proposal that's already been pushed that says something like...
This proposal was pushed to QBO as Estimate #XX on 'XX Date'. What would you like to do?
a. Update estimate #XX
b. Create a new estimate
c. Cancel
