Sales Tax Exempt for Proposal Items

Need the ability to determine in proposal items that are tax or non-taxable to match Illinois tax law. Having to default items from the catalog to either all taxable or all non-taxable doesn't work in the state of Illinois.

Please add a feature to make a customer non-taxable in their master information so any future proposals are tax free too. A place to upload resale certificates would be great

What would be great is if in your custom items, you can mark them as tax exempt and they stay that way.. Like shipping. Also labor.. I often forget to unmark labor as tax exempt. Pain to have to do it everytime.

Kirk Chisholm: I am still having to change custom items like shipping to Tax Exempt in each proposal. Any plans to make it so that it stays set once its changed to Tax Exempt?

Russ Moore: Yes, we do plan to add a checkbox to custom items to mark them as tax exempt by default (just like you can do now for 'recurring'). For now you'll have to do it manually, I realize it's a bit of a pain. Might take us a few weeks to get this done.

Scott, did you know that you can set individual items to 'Tax Exempt' now? It's not so easy to discover (we have redesigned this and will update it next month) but if you click 'add note' on a line item you will see a 'Tax Exempt' check-dot.
